The Habersham Central Raiders picked up their second win of the season against neighboring rival White County Friday night in Cleveland.

The Raiders (2-1) took the lead early on in the first quarter on a Warrior fumble. Then, with 46 seconds left, Habersham closed the quarter with another touchdown, giving the Raiders a 14 to 0 lead going into the second.

The Warriors (1-2) put up six points in the second quarter after missing the extra point. The Raiders led 14-6 at the half.

Two minutes into the third quarter, Habersham’s Colton Turner scored the Raiders’ final touchdown of the game. The Warriors put up 6 more points heading into the fourth.

Both teams remained scoreless in the fourth quarter. The Raiders won 21-12.

The Warriors will take a much-needed break next week but will return to action for their first region game on September 24 when they take on Dawson County.
