Football Friday: Week 11

It’s Week 11 of Georgia high school football. With two weeks left in the regular season, playoff draws are shaping up in each classification. Northeast Georgia’s Jefferson, Rabun County, Oconee County, and Prince Avenue Christian all appear bound for postseason play. For a look at potential matchups, click here.

The Rabun County Wildcats upped their overall record to 9-1 and 3-0 in Region 8-2A with a 56-14 win over Union County (2-6;2-2). It was another impressive display by the Wildcats who went into Friday night’s game atop the leaderboard in passing and receiving.

The White County Warriors Friday improved their record to 4-5 overall, 3-2 in Region 7-3A, and clinched a playoff spot with their 52-25 win over Gilmer County.  This makes three straight for the Warriors after a rough 1-5 start. Gilmer County drops to 3-6;1-5. The Warriors close out their regular season on November 5 at home against Cherokee Bluff.

The Habersham Central Raiders were off this week after last week’s 20-0 Central Gwinnett shutout. They’ll close out their regular season at home on November 5 against region rival Shiloh.
