The Habersham Central Raiders got the win they were hunting for Friday night at Central Gwinnett. The Raiders shut out the Black Knights, 20-0. The win is the first for the Raiders since Sept. 10 when they defeated White County and marks their first region win this season. With Friday night’s shutout, the Raiders improve to 3-6 overall and 1-5 in Region 8-6A. Central Gwinnett drops to 1-8 overall and 0-5 in the region.
The Stephens County Indians lost only their second game of the season Friday night on the road in Hartwell. The Hart County Bulldogs edged out the Indians 9-7. The Indians are now 6-2 overall and 1-2 in Region 8-3A. The Bulldogs improve to 6-1;2-1.
The Rabun County Wildcats brought their high-powered play back home to Tiger for a Region 8-2A matchup against Elbert (3-4;1-1). The No. 1 Cats (8-1;2-0) defeated the Blue Devils, 45-7.

The White County Warriors traveled to Lumpkin County on Friday and brought home their second region victory. After a scoreless first quarter, the Warriors got on the board soon into the second with a touchdown by Bryson Cronic. Things moved quickly after that with Alex Thornton putting up seven points, followed by a 48-yard touchdown run by Darius Canon. A single touchdown by the Indians led into halftime with the Warriors up 21 to 7. In the third, White County took a three-touchdown lead off a 75-yard kickoff return by Canon. Lumpkin answered nine minutes later with a TD. A 29-yard touchdown by Silas Mulligan closed out the third with White County on top 35 to 13. The Warriors held Lumpkin to those 13 points for the remainder of the game while continuing their run on the Indians’ end zone. Another touchdown by Cronic and a 29-yard run by Ryan Fowler closed out the game with the Warriors taking the win, 49 to 13. The Warriors are now 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the region. With the loss, Lumpkin drops to 2-6;1-3 in Region 7-3A.
