A Flowery Branch man is in jail, accused of possessing and distributing child pornography.
Agents with the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Hall County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday arrested Joshua Teddy Fischer, 47, at HCSO headquarters. They charged him with two felony counts of electronic exploitation of a minor.
According to sheriff’s spokesperson Derreck Booth, the investigation began on May 19 when agents received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The probe led investigators to execute a search warrant at Fischer’s home in the 5000 block of Hog Mountain Road on June 2.
“During the search, agents seized several of Fischer’s electronic devices,” Booth says. “Additional charges are possible following forensic processing of the electronics.”
Fischer is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond. The case remains under investigation.
