Five athletes honored at Next Level Signing Ceremony

Tallulah Falls held its inaugural Next Level Signing Ceremony, as five TFS athletes were honored. Jake Hall, Anfernee Hanna, Sarah Jennings, Denika Lightbourne, and Kitty Rodenas all have signed to pursue their academic and athletic careers further.

Jake Hall · Randolph-Macon College

Hall (Mt. Airy) posted 26 goals and 10 assists in 2023 for the Indians, guiding them to a #1 state ranking, first-ever region title, and first-ever Sweet 16 run. Hall is signing to continue his academic and athletic career in soccer at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA.

Anfernee Hanna · Motlow State Cc

Hanna (Nassau, Bahamas) scored 507 points (school-record of 18.8 pts/game) in leading the Indians to a fourth straight playoff appearance. He was named 2nd Team All-State, and is the winning-est player in TFS history. Hanna is signing to continue his academic and athletic career in basketball at Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma, TN.

Sarah Jennings · Covenant College

Jennings (Clarkesville) graduates as the most decorated volleyball player in TFS history, and led the Lady Indians to the school’s first-ever state championship and 99 total wins in her high school career. She holds the all-time records in kills, digs, and aces, and has six school records to her name. Jennings is signing to continue her academic and athletic career in volleyball at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA.

Denika Lightbourne · University Of Dayton

Lightbourne (Nassau, Bahamas) is the first Lady Indians player to be named 1st Team All-State. She has the school record in six categories, including being the all-time leader in assists, steals, and blocks, and is second all-time in scoring. She is the first-ever DI player for girls basketball from Tallulah Falls. Lightbourne is signing to continue her academic and athletic career in basketball at the University of Dayton in Dayton, OH.

Kitty Rodenas · Calumet College Of St. Joseph

Rodenas (Madrid, Spain) helped lead Tallulah Falls to a state championship as the standout setter. She tied the single-match record with 46 assists, and set the single-season marks of 134 aces and 890 assists. Rodenas is signing to continue her academic and athletic career in volleyball at Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, IN.
