Cornelia’s popular summer festival series is returning for its fourth year, bringing food, crafts and entertainment to the heart of downtown.

Catch Me in Cornelia’s first event will kick off on Thursday, May 29, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The following two events are scheduled for the last Thursdays in June and July, offering residents and visitors a lively way to start their weekends.

Each festival features a vibrant lineup of food and craft vendors, a dedicated kids’ zone, and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, according to city officials. While the event draws between 200 to 300 people on average, organizers also encourage attendees to explore downtown Cornelia’s restaurants and shops during their visit.

“This is a great opportunity to get out of the house on a Thursday evening, enjoy some local flavor and spend time in our beautiful downtown,” Cornelia City Manager Dee Anderson said Tuesday, Feb. 27.

Ample parking is available in all downtown lots, making it easy for families and visitors to join the festivities. Whether you’re looking to browse handmade crafts, enjoy a meal or let the kids play, officials describe Cornelia’s summer festival as the perfect community event before the weekend begins.
