“Arriving crews found a storage building fully involved with multiple exposures. A pull behind camper and vehicle near the shed received exterior damage from the heat and smoke,” says Hall County EMS Chief and Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Christie Grice.

The resident told firefighters when they arrived that his dog was trapped. Crews used extra hose to protect the dog pen from the flames. After a short time, they were able to remove the animal from the pen and reunite it with its owner.

The dog suffered minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Hall County Fire Rescue extinguished the blaze. Crews remained on the scene for three hours. According to Grice, the resident told them he would stay with a nearby family member.

The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
