A fire Saturday afternoon off Pinewood near Pea Ridge Road destroyed an outbuilding and charred nearby woods.
The fire was reported at 2:47 p.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene eleven minutes later and found a 10×10 out building fully involved. An acre of woods was also burning, says Habersham County Emergency Services Director Chad Black.
Firefighters from Baldwin, Habersham, and the US Forestry Service worked together to put out the fire. They had it fully contained by 3:30 p.m., Black says.
The forestry service is investigating to determine what caused the fire.
