Firefighters from Hall and White counties spent the afternoon Tuesday battling a barn fire north of Gainesville.
Around 4:10 p.m., Hall County Fire Rescue responded to fully involved fire in the 3600 block of Clark’s Bridge Road.
“Upon arrival, crews found the building to be 60 percent involved,” says Hall County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Kimberlie Ledsinger.
With the closest hydrant about a mile away, White County firefighters helped haul in water to the site with their tanker truck. By shuttling in water, firefighters managed to knock down the flames, still, the barn was a total loss.
No people or animals were reported injured in the fire. The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
