Fall finds North Georgia again this week

A true cold front will move through this week bringing sunshine and fall like temperatures.

After the record highs to end last week and the cool wedge on Sunday, expect the wedge to continue into Monday although weaken a bit throughout the day. Isolated to scattered showers are likely, especially during the first half of the day. We will warm up nicely during the afternoon.

The wedge will break down completely ahead of an approaching cold front on Tuesday and we will heat back up into the 70s once again.

Wednesday will bring cooler air behind the front. Some clouds may work in on Wednesday evening as a reinforcing shot of cool/dry air moves through. An isolated shower can’t be ruled out with this reinforcement front early Thursday morning.

Have a great week and enjoy the return of fall!
