Ethel Pauline Nation Arrowood Freeman, age 93, of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
Born in Cleveland, Georgia on February 22, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Ann Collins Nation. Mrs. Freeman was a homemaker who enjoyed yard sales, fishing and flower gardening in her spare time. She attended Bethesda Fellowship Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Arrowood and J.C. Freeman; infant children, Connie & David Arrowood; daughter, Barbara Armour; brothers, Floyd Nation, Jesse James Nation, Arthur Nation, and Odell Nation; sisters, Ula Mae Wheeler, Vinnie Ramey and Pearl Idell Owens.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Clyde Arrowood (Clara) of Cleveland, Earl Arrowood, Jr., Timmy Gene Arrowood, Clarence Arrowood (B.J.) and Stanley Richard Arrowood (Rita) all of Cornelia; daughter, Joyce Ann Patricia Jones of Clarkesville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Rayburn Nation of Mt. Airy; sisters, Annie Bell Arrowood of Cleveland, Nancy Pauline Poole of Homer and Grace Mae Nelms of Cleveland; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2020, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. J. Clarence Reynolds and Rev. Dennis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Arrowood section of Blue Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the service hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
