ELBERTON, GA – A 50-year-old Elbert County man died Tuesday night when his car overturned multiple times off GA 79, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The crash occurred on the night of November 26 near Brad Dixon Road in Elbert County. Troopers say Shawn Sorensen was driving a Honda Accord south on GA 79/Lincolnton Hwy. when he left the east shoulder of the road. His car struck a culvert, overturned several times, and landed on its roof.
Sorenson died at the scene.
Troopers from Post 52 Hartwell are investigating the wreck.
