Baldwin City Council Member Joe Elam has resigned from the council to run for mayor. His resignation was effective August 15, 2018.
The city issued a notice to the media Monday announcing Elam’s resignation. Elam was first elected to the Baldwin City Council in 2012. His current term was to have ended December 31, 2019.
Elam is the owner of Habersham Bicycles in Alto and Gainesville.
