Effie Clark Parham, age 94, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 12, 2018.
Mrs. Parham was born on April 3, 1923 in Pageland, South Carolina to the late Clayton David and Lou Marze Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in by her husband, Judson “Bud” Parham; brothers, Roy Clark, Horace Clark; sisters, Betty Krimminger, Mary Lou Rivers; and daughter-in-law, Janet Parham. Mrs. Parham was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia where she was also a member of the Three L / Volunteer Sunday School Class. She was a retired sales clerk from Gold’s Department Store with 62 years of service.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Pat Parham, of Cornelia; son, Larry Parham, of Mount Airy; sister, Ann Smith, of Rincon, GA; granddaughter and spouse, Alice and Grant Gunter; granddaughter, Brittany Parham; great-grandchildren, Gracie Gunter, and Judson Gunter.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Cornelia with Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.
