Easter Happenings in Habersham

Final preps are underway at Pitts Park in Clarkesville for today’s big Spring Fling and Easter Eggstravaganza. Registration begins at 7am for the 5k run/walk. A shorter run will be held for the kids. The races start at 8am followed by a HUGE 12,000 Easter egg hunt.

There will be music, puppet shows…lots for the whole family to enjoy!

Come out and enjoy your Saturday morning at Pitts Park courtesy of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville.

NOTE: Parking at Pitts Park is limited. You can park at Bethlehem Baptist on Hwy. 197 just north of the park and catch a shuttle bus to the race and festivities.

When you’re done at Pitts Park you can carry the kids over to the First Presbyterian Church in Clarkesville for another egg hunt for toddlers-5th grade. Starts at 10am.

Then, at 11:30am walk down to the Mauldin House and Gardens on Clarkesville Street for free pictures with the Easter Bunny courtesy of Main Street Clarkesville.

Egg hunts and rabbitpalooza await you at the North Georgia Zoo & Farm’s Annual Easter Festival. Search for eggs and redeem them for prizes. You can also pet and learn about bunny rabbits. Saturday, April 4-Sunday, April 5, 10am-6pm. The zoo is located in White County. Click here for directions.
