Early Voting Ends Friday in Habersham

Absentee voting, early voting and advance voting are all taking place at a rate higher than in previous Presidential Preference Primaries, Habersham County’s Election Supervisor Laurel Ellison reports.

There have been 641 early voters to date, in the Elections & Registration Office. At Saturday/Advance Voting at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center in Clarkesville, there have been 783 voters. At First Baptist Church of Cornelia’s Saturday/Advance voting, there have been 241 voters.

Ellison described voter turnout as “somewhat steady” with little waiting time. She encourages voters to “vote early” and said that the end for Absentee/Early/Advance voting ends Friday, February 26, 2016.  Ellison said Wednesday afternoon that the total for absentee voting in Habersham County, as of 4:00 p.m., February 24, 2016, has reached 2,064.
