Early voting in the General Primary Runoff has ended.
Habersham County Election Supervisor Laurel Ellison says as of Friday, 2,402 early/advance/absentee votes had been cast. Of those, 2,082 votes were cast in-person; 320 were absentee votes by mail.
In all, the Habersham County Board of Elections Office mailed 407 absentee ballots to voters. The deadline for the remaining 87 ballots to be returned is 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 24.
Election day voting
Tuesday is election day. Voters will decide on party nominees for several key statewide races.
In the runoff, voters will decide the Republican nominees for governor, lieutenant governor, and secretary of state. Voters will also choose the Democratic nominee for state school superintendent.

The winners of Tuesday’s runoff will advance to the general election in November.
