Early voting begins today in Georgia’s primary election runoff. Ninety-four counties are holding runoffs to select party nominees to run in the general election in November.
If you voted in the June 9 primary or were registered to vote by July 13 you may vote in the runoff. Voters who selected a party ballot in June cannot switch parties, but if you voted nonpartisan or did not vote in the primary, you may choose which party ballot you want in the runoff.
In Habersham County, there are five Republican races and one Democratic race to be decided. There are no non-partisan runoffs (see sample ballots below).

Habersham County voting schedule
Beginning Monday, July 20, the Habersham County Elections Office will hold in-person early voting from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays in the Commissioner’s Conference Room of the main floor of the Habersham County Administration Building in Clarkesville.
Advance voting at the Habersham North and South precincts begins Monday, August 3.
All early and advance voting ends Friday, August 7, which is also the deadline to request an absentee ballot.
If you vote in-person ahead of election day, you may cast your ballot at any of the early/advanced voting precincts. If you wait until election day, Tuesday, August 11, you must vote at your assigned precinct.
