Public schools open tomorrow in Habersham County and if you’re among those chauffering students to and from school, there are some changes you need to be aware of.
The sheriff’s office recently released details of the adjusted school traffic patterns. Sheriff Joey Terrell says the changes were made “to account for the significant increase in parent pick-up and drop-off that our schools will inevitably experience as a result of the ongoing coronavirus concerns.”
All other drivers need to be aware that there will be “significant delays” in the immediate areas surrounding county schools between 6:30-8 a.m. and 2:30-3:45 p.m. “Citizens not dropping off or picking up students during these times may want to consider alternate routes of travel to avoid getting stuck in school traffic,” the Sheriff says.
The photographs below show the basic school traffic patterns at each school. For future updates, please keep up with the social media at your child’s school. Individual schools may release videos to discuss these traffic flows.
