A wreck Monday night in Franklin County claimed the life of a 70-year-old Royston man.
State troopers say Gary Woody died in a single-vehicle crash on Bond Bridge Road near Riverbend Circle.
Troopers from Georgia State Patrol Post 52 in Hartwell responded to the crash shortly before 7 p.m. on October 9.
The crash investigation revealed Woody was driving a Ford Explorer south on Bond Bridge Road when the vehicle traveled off the west shoulder of the road. The SUV struck a culvert and tree and then overturned onto its roof.
Woody was pronounced dead at the scene.
