The Georgia State Patrol has released the name of the driver who was injured Dec. 14 in a single-vehicle wreck on Cannon Bridge road. He’s identified as 43-year-old Gabriel Pulido.
Pulido was traveling south on Cannon Bridge Road when the truck he was using to haul a utility trailer ran off the road and struck a culvert, according to State Trooper Brady Galloway of State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa. The truck “traveled back onto the roadway and the trailer came unhitched and flipped over,” says Galloway.
The truck then struck a power pole and overturned down a retaining wall. It came to a final rest on the passenger door facing south in a private parking lot.
Pulido was hospitalized at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville after the wreck. He’s charged with driving while unlicensed and failure to maintain lane.
