Driver escapes injury in Cornelia rollover wreck

A Stephens County man walked away from a wreck after his Jeep Cherokee overturned.

The single-vehicle wreck happened around 10:30 this morning in Cornelia.

The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) says Antonio Martin was traveling on the exit ramp of US-441 SB towards GA-385 when he failed to maintain his lane and ran off the road. The ’94 Jeep Cherokee he was driving struck a highway sign, ran down an embankment, and overturned onto its roof.

Cornelia Police and firefighters responded to the scene. Martin was not injured.

GSP cited him for failure to maintain lane.
