State Troopers charged a Cornelia woman in connection with a wreck that injured a motorcyclist.
The Georgia State Patrol says Claudia Torres, 27, was attempting to cross the US 441 Bypass from Finnis Springs Drive in Cornelia around 5:30 p.m. on July 14 when the accident happened. After stopping at a stop sign, officials say Torres failed to yield and pulled the 2013 Chrysler Town and Country van she was driving into the path of a southbound 2007 Suzuki GSX-R750 motorcycle.
The motorcycle, driven by 30-year-old Pastor Lara Mora of Baldwin, ran into the front of the van and crashed in the southbound lane.
Habersham EMS transported Mora by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville with visible injuries, according to the State Patrol.
Neither Torres nor her 9-year-old passenger was injured.
