Douglas Roberts, age 66, of Cornelia, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Roberts was born on May 24, 1956, in Hall County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, William Cecil Roberts. Douglas was of the Holiness Faith. He was a loving and dedicated son and brother. Douglas has worked in construction with his stepfather for several years.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Grace and Levis Gerrell, of Alto; sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Darrell Johnson, of Jefferson; brother, Randy Roberts, of Gainesville; and brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Madoka Roberts, of Gwinnett County.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Keith Phagan officiating. Interment will follow in the former Mt. Sinai Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the funeral home.
