Woodall wins Habersham County commission runoff

Kelly Woodall is set to become the next Habersham County commissioner. Woodall defeated Eric Holbrooks in the District 1 Commission GOP primary runoff Tuesday night.

According to the Habersham County Elections Office, Woodall won by 453 votes. He claimed 59% of the 2,397 votes that were cast.

Unofficial returns show Woodall received 1,425 votes to Holbrooks’ 972. The results still must be certified.

Woodall does not face any opposition in the November election. In January, he is expected to assume the seat now held by Habersham County Commissioner Bruce Palmer.
