A Dillard man is in jail charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with a weekend death at a Dillard motel.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation charged 28-year old Conny Blake Henslee in the death of 58-year old Mark William Dotson of Clayton.
The Rabun County Sheriff’s Office says officers were dispatched to the Knights Inn in Dillard around 4 p.m. Saturday in reference to a death. When they arrived they found Dotson dead. Deputies detained a person of interest. The GBI was asked to assist in the investigation and subsequently charged Henslee.
Jail records show Henslee has a long list of prior arrests dating back to 2006 for numerous violations including DUI, carrying a concealed weapon, probation violations and drug charges.
He’s now being held in the Rabun County Detention Center.
