Mrs. Diana Marie Schneider Cindea, 57, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, March 6, 1958, departed this life on September 14, 2015 at her home in Gainesville, Georgia, surrounded by her husband and children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Schneider.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 18, 2015 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Father Eric Hill will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Diana was a Pediatric Nurse at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and left nursing with her husband to raise their three children in Gainesville. She devoted her life to her family and lived in the service of others. She served as president of PTA, taught for the Junior Achievement Program, and was a Center Point Mentor. She also volunteered at the American Cancer Society, Choices and Family Promise. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and volunteered there in many different ways. Her passion was her work for CASA Board, a child advocate group. Diana’s special mission was her wonderful bread and cookies that she baked and shared with friends and family.
Diana is survived by her loving husband Dr. Eugene Cindea, son Matthew and daughters Suzanne and Melinda all of Gainesville; and her mother Catherine Gustin Schneider of Louisville, KY; brothers Joseph Schneider and Tony Schneider and sisters Patti Prugh, Mary Ann Kotter and Angie Farrel all of Cincinnati, OH and a number of nieces and nephews. Diana also leaves behind many devoted friends and neighbors whom she loved as family.
Diana will be remembered as an infinite giver, a devoted wife, mother, daughter and precious friend. Through her example, she showed how to live a life of grace and humility in the service of others and her God.
The family wishes to thank her doctors and nurses who cared for her with kindness and compassion.
