Demorest to hold town hall for input on city’s future

Demorest City Council (Jerry Neace/Now Habersham)

Next week, Demorest will hold a town hall intended to gather input and perspectives from residents on their vision for the future of the city.

The town hall will be held from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, at Demorest City Hall (250 Alabama St.). It’s the first of two town halls, with the second taking place from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Demorest City Hall.

Both meetings, hosted by council members and city administrators, will be open to Demorest residents to see that taxpayers’ voices are heard and their opinions are considered for short and long-term planning purposes.

City officials will speak to members of the public, take questions and provide updates on projects during the town hall.

An interactive portion of the meeting will include a survey with mark up maps for
future development. Residents are encouraged to take the survey.
