The Demorest City Council will hold their Council Retreat Saturday March 23 in Alto.

The council will discuss numerous topics during their retreat. Some of the topics will be water and sewer and land use. The council will receive updates from department heads and finance. They will also discuss 2024 planning priorities and goals. See the agenda here.

The retreat will be an all day meeting. Council members and staff will discuss openly where the city and departments are and what direction they want to take in the future.

According to Demorest Council Member Shawn Allen, “We are just going to listen to reports from department heads and staff and discuss future needs for potential planning purposes.”

He adds, “There will be no votes on any issues.”

The retreat will be held Saturday March 23 beginning at 9:00 a.m. and adjourn no later than 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the EMI office at 202 Luthi Road in Alto beside Anderson Village.
