Even Santa couldn’t escape Mother Nature’s grasp this weekend.The Christmas in the Mountains parade that was scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. in Cleveland has been canceled.
The threat of lightning from weekend storms led officials to cancel all of the activities in downtown Cleveland including the parade, according to WRWH Radio. White County Chamber of Commerce President Beth Truelove says the decision was made after consulting with Cleveland Police Chief John Foster.
Demorest canceled its Christmas in the Park celebration that was scheduled for Sunday, December 2.
The city issued a public notice Saturday saying Sunday’s event in Demorest Springs Park was canceled due to inclement weather. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
