The first 100 children at the Baldwin Fall Festival will receive a free copy of former Governor Nathan Deal’s children’s book, Veto: The Governor’s Cat.

“The Mayor’s Reading Club raised enough money to purchase 100 copies of his new book,” Mayor Stephanie Almagno announced during the meeting. She added, “We will be giving those away, first come, first served.”

For those that come early and receive a free copy, you may want to stick around for a little while. The author of the book will be available to autograph the book.

Deal will be on hand at the Baldwin Fall Festival on Saturday to sign his children’s book, Veto: The Governor’s Cat. Almagno confirmed on Friday that Deal would arrive at 2 p.m. Saturday to sign books.

The Baldwin Fall Festival will begin at 12 p.m. Saturday, October 19 on Airport Road in downtown Baldwin. The festival will conclude at 8 p.m. after a fireworks display.
