Make it back-to-back for the BLITZ Baseball Player of the Year award going to a Sapp…this time it’s Hudson, brother of last year’s Palmer Sapp. Hudson, an Ole Miss commit, bullied the baseball this season and proved to be an almost impossible out.
Sapp edged out Habersham Central’s Alex McFarlane, a Miami recruit, by 3.5 points in the voting. Central’s Peyton Irvin placed fourth among the six finalists.
Votes were cast by a 19-person panel made up of sports reporters, writers, video producers, former coaches, players, GHSA officials, and sports experts.
