Dan Douglas Minyard, age 62, of Mount Airy, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 03, 2022.
Born in Demorest, Georgia, on January 04, 1960, he was a son of the late Mary Ann Stewart Minyard & the late Douglas Minyard. Dan was a graduate of Habersham Central High School, Class of 1978. He was a veteran, having served his country proudly in the United States Army. Dan worked as a maintenance technician for many years with Daniel’s Tours and, in his spare time, enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel Music. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rev. Herman & Cora Lee Harris Minyard; maternal grandparents, LeeRoy & Myrtis Mae Thurmond Stewart; & brother, Jason Minyard.
Survivors include his wife, Vicky Ash Minyard of Cleveland, GA; step-mother, Anita Minyard of Noble, OK; sister & brother-in-law, Cammie & Bill Ramsey of Mt. Airy, GA; sister, Kerry Minyard of Oklahoma City, OK; nephew & spouse, Casey & Amy Ramsey of Rocky Face, GA; niece & spouse, Brittany & Josh Elliott of Guyton, GA; great-nephews, Austin Cooley of Rocky Face, GA; & Garrett Elliott of Guyton, GA; stepchildren, Joshua Allen of Clayton, GA; Brandi Taylor of Cleveland, GA; April Webb of Tennessee; aunts, uncles, cousins, & a host of other relatives, & friends.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 07, 2022 at the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Kenneth McEntire & Rev. Anthony Shore officiating.
All family & friends will meet at the church cemetery at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
