Cornelia Police say a woman missing since July 2 has made contact with friends and has assured them she is safe. Sgt. Shane Adams says Sara “Katie” Williams is no longer considered a missing person.
The 29-year-old Williams was reported missing on July 12, ten days after she was last seen in Cornelia. Police asked the community for help in finding her.
