Cornelia man charged with sexual exploitation of children

A child pornography probe by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation resulted in the recent arrest of a Cornelia man.

Agents with the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit (CEACC) arrested 65-year-old Daniel Dewey Jennings at his home on Jan. 29.

During the investigation, CEACC executed a search warrant at Jennings’ residence and seized devices. “Forensic examinations were conducted on the devices at GBI Headquarters and files of suspected child pornography were located,” says CEACC special agent in charge Debbie Garner.

The GBI charged Jennings with two counts of sexual exploitation of children. He was booked into the Habersham County jail on $11,2o0 bond.
