Cornelia man charged with meth trafficking

Kenneth Warwick (Habersham County Sheriff's Office)

A Cornelia man faces drug trafficking charges after being caught with approximately 62 grams of methamphetamine. In addition, officers say Kenneth Lee Warwick had over 160 prescription pills with him in unmarked pill bottles.

Cornelia police arrested the 57-year-old Warwick in the early morning hours of August 25. He allegedly had methamphetamine, marijuana, and Alprazolam (Xanax) on him at the time of his arrest. Police say they found the meth and marijuana in baggies along with digital scales.

Police charged Warwick with four felonies including trafficking and three counts of possession of drugs with intent to distribute. They also charged him with three misdemeanors for having prescription pills outside their original container, possession of drug-related objects, and having a busted tail light.

Habersham County Magistrate Judge Amy Thomas denied bond for Warwick. He remains in the Habersham County Detention Center.
