A Cornelia man is scheduled to be arraigned next month on charges filed against him in a wreck that killed an Alto teenager. 44-year old Gregory Purcell is charged with 2nd degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield right of way in the accident that claimed the life of 18-year old Samantha Williams.
Williams died on December 8, 2016 in a head-on collision with Purcell on Pea Ridge Road. Authorities say Purcell was attempting to turn left into a private driveway and failed to yield. His pickup collided head-on with the car Williams was driving.
