Cornelia Kiwanis Talent Showcase auditions March 14th

Students, here’s your chance to shine! The Cornelia Kiwanis Club is gearing up for its 36th Annual Talent Showcase. Habersham County residents in kindergarten through 12th grades are eligible to audition.

Students will compete in three divisions – Elementary, Middle and High School. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each division. The winner of the High School division also wins the $500 Bill Loyd Award.

“Bill Loyd founded the contest 36 years ago when Georgia Kiwanis started a statewide ‘Talent Showcase’ contest,” says event co-chair Barb Traver. “Cornelia Kiwanis has had a contest and sent a contestant every year since that time.”

Previous years’ winners include country music star Kim Schlapman of the Grammy award winning group, Little Big Town.
