The City of Cornelia has issued a Boil Water Advisory for some of its customers following a water main break.
Cornelia issued an alert just before Noon Tuesday stating that a 2-inch water main ruptured in the area of Chase Road near Chase Woods. The advisory affects all citizens who received a notice on their door or have experienced water outages and/or low water pressures.
Affected customers are advised to boil water for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil before drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food with it.
The advisory remains in effect until further notice.
