Cornelia Farmers Market becomes Family Date Night

Cornelia's Historic Train Depot

The City of Cornelia had hoped to host a Farmers Market on Fridays this summer but that didn’t materialize so instead, city officials have decided to turn what would have been market night into Family Date Night.

“You know what? Things happen. Plans Change. Here in Cornelia, we just like to roll with it,” says Cornelia Community Manager Jessie Owensby. And with that realistic, refreshing point of view (who hasn’t had plans fall through?) she announced an event the whole family can enjoy…Family Date Night!

The community is invited to come out to the Historic Train Depot tonight, Friday, June 10th, from 5-8 p.m. and enjoy the city’s splash pad with your family, food catered by Natalie Jane’s Restaurant, and live entertainment from Matt Fried. The event will kick off Cornelia’s SUMMER CONCERT SERIES at the Depot.

Owensby says, “We are so excited to have people in Downtown tonight! Bring a chair and some people to enjoy the summer nights with us!”

Cornelia’s Historic Depot and splash pad are located at 102 Clarkesville Street in downtown Cornelia.
