Kids dressed up as their favorite characters and scariest nightmares will hit the streets of Habersham Tuesday in their quest to fill bags and buckets full of candy.
There are a number of Halloween events planned Tuesday in and around Habersham. The two biggest events in the county are Trick- and Trunk-or-Treating in downtown Cornelia and Clarkesville.
Both cities are hosting events and the times are staggered so that families and individuals may enjoy both.
Cornelia
The Cornelia Business Association will host Downtown Trick-or-Treat outside downtown businesses from 3-6 p.m. on October 31st.
Businesses not located in the downtown district will take part in a Trunk-or-Treat event during the same time in the parking lot of the historic Cornelia Train Depot located at 102 Grant Place, Cornelia, GA 30531.
A costume contest begins at 5 p.m. at the Depot. The winner gets a prize.
Clarkesville
Clarkesville’s annual downtown Trick-or-Treat on the Square begins at 5 p.m. and runs through 7 p.m. Downtown merchants will hand out treats outside their businesses. Treats are limited to people ages 1-16.
FREE photographs will be taken in the gazebo on the Clarkesville Square. Nothing Artificial Photography of Clarkesville is providing the service. Photos will be posted to the Nothing Artificial Photography Facebook page and Now Habersham Facebook page on November 1st.
The gazebo is located on the lawn of the old Habersham County Courthouse at 555 Monroe Avenue, Clarkesville, GA 30523.

Clarkesville Baptist Church is hosting a Halloween Outreach/Trunk-or-Treat event Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 5-6:30 p.m. The church is located at 1287 Washington Street, Clarkesville, GA 30523.
Hazel Creek Baptist Church will hold its annual Hazelween Festival on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. There will be a Chili Cook-off as well as games, door prizes, Bible story, hayride and Trunk-or- Treat. The church is located at 243 Hazel Creek Church Road, Mt Airy, GA 30563.
Truett McConnell University in Cleveland will hold its annual Treats at Truett event Tuesday. It runs from 6-9 p.m. on the Truett McConnell campus located at 100 Alumni Drive, Cleveland, GA 30528.
