The First Baptist Church of Cornelia and Lord’s Help Soup Kitchen are offering respite to storm-weary residents.
FBC Cornelia closed its storm shelter Friday night for lodging and meals but continues to provide showers for the community. Showers are available Friday through Sunday, September 18 from 5-8 p.m. The church is located at 325 Oak Street, Cornelia, GA 30531. Those using the facilities should enter from the back side of the church, under the portico at the corner of Larkin and Fore Acre Streets.

Hot meals are being provided this weekend by the Lord’s Help Soup Kitchen in Cornelia. Meals will be served to the public Saturday from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 4-6 p.m.
