City officials broke ground Tuesday on Cornelia’s new Municipal Complex. When complete, the facility will house City Hall and the town’s fire and police stations.
It’s being built on the site of the existing city offices in downtown Cornelia.
City Manager Dee Anderson says the city has discussed the need for a new City Hall for “over 20 years.” He says the new facility will accommodate growth for the next “50 years.”
