A major cool-down is expected this week as a big pattern shift brings winter to the region.
It has been a warm fall so far, but winter is finally knocking on the door.
We’ll see warm temperatures on Monday under sunny skies, but some clouds are likely later in the day as our big cold front approaches from the west. Showers are likely on Tuesday and Tuesday night along the front with 1/2-1″ of rain expected.
Wednesday onward will feature some windy and much colder conditions. A widespread high elevation freeze is likely on Friday and Saturday mornings next week although the wind will help limit frost. Still, be sure to protect any sensitive plants you still have going outside.
