The national GOP Convention wraps up tonight in Cleveland, Ohio. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will give his acceptance speech.
It’s expected to be the highlight of the four-day convention that has seen its fair share of controversy and curiosity. Last night, Sen. Ted Cruz took to the podium to deliver what many thought would be an endorsement of his former GOP rival, instead, Cruz was booed when he failed to endorse Trump during his otherwise well received remarks.
While the national media spotlight has fallen on the big moments, this unconventional convention has also had its fair share of interesting, smaller moments.
Habersham County’s Anna Swick has spotlighted many of those for us during her guest coverage here on Now Habersham. Swick, who’s volunteering at the convention, is a 2009 graduate of Habersham Central High School and political science grad from Lee University. She now works in politics and lives in Washington D.C.
