The U.S. Forestry Service will conduct a prescribed burn at the Upper Chattahoochee Campground Forest Area in White County on Wednesday, March 15.
The Forestry Service has advised that smoke conditions will be present beginning around 11 a.m. through the afternoon and evening.
White County officials want the public to be aware so people won’t be alarmed when they see smoke in the area.
The Forestry Service routinely conducts controlled burns to reduce fire hazards and enhance wildlife habitat.
