Habersham County Parks and Recreation Department will celebrate the end of its successful youth baseball and softball seasons Saturday with an event at Diamond Memorial Park at the county fairgrounds.
The brief closing ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. at Field 2 and will include remarks and a first pitch by Sheriff Joey Terrell, as well as a special presentation from the previous Habersham Little League Board.
After all the games, the recreation staff will announce the All-Stars and celebrate them on the field.
The public is invited, but drivers are reminded to park in the large fairgrounds parking lot and walk down to the fields unless they have a valid handicapped license plate or permit.
