Clinton Clay Savage, age 92, of Cornelia, Georgia, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at his residence.
Mr. Savage was born on May 15, 1930, in Lula, Georgia, to the late John Lucas and Bartie Smith Savage. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tex Savage and Terry Savage; sisters, Elwayne Brock, Tola Core, and Charlotte Adams.
Mr. Savage was a decorated United States Army Veteran, having proudly served his county as a Technical Sergeant during the Korean War. Sergeant Savage was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He had retired from AT&T as Staff Supervisor of Engineering.
Survivors include his loving wife of 71 Years, Pat Alice Murphy Savage, of Cornelia; son, Tommy Eric Savage, of Cornelia; sisters, Charlotte Adams, of Cornelia; grandchildren, Celia Alchemy Savage and Ethan Clay Savage.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Jim Welborn and Rev. David Bivins officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the United States Army and The Grant Reeves Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made in Mr. Savage’s Memory to the charity of one’s choice.
