According to missions director Karmen Hulsey, Chattahoochee Baptist Church in Cleveland, Georgia, is continuing its partnership with There’s Hope for the Hungry, a food distribution organization located in Cumming, Georgia. For May, assistance is available on Wednesday, May 12th.
Free food is available for those needing assistance on the second Wednesday of each month at the church. Chattahoochee Baptist Church is located at 7905 Duncan Bridge Road in Cleveland. No ID is required. Food will be distributed from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Food will be distributed on the second Wednesdays throughout the summer as well: June 9, July 14, and August 11.
There’s Hope for the Hungry has been in operation since 2003. To date, the organization has provided food to more than 353,000 families and over 942,000 individuals. Those who have received food have included 259,000 children and 143,000 senior adults.
The organization has given out 7.8 million pounds of food in the past 18 years. It describes itself as “a scripture-rooted, passion-filled ministry, founded in prayer and committed to evangelizing and feeding people who are in need.”
Chattahoochee Baptist Church is one of forty-four other churches in northern Georgia that partner with There’s Hope for the Hungry.
