Cleveland woman dies in Friday morning wreck in Gainesville

A Cleveland woman died Friday in a two-vehicle traffic accident on White Sulphur Road in Gainesville.

According to WRWH Radio, police say 39-year old Erica Green was traveling south on White Sulphur Road in a 2005 Nissan Versa when she reportedly left her lane and struck a 2005 Chervolet Silverado head-on.

Green was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Emergency crews first responded to the accident at roughly 7:30 a.m. at Waters Road. The crash and investigation blocked White Sulphur Road for nearly three hours.

Authorities say the investigation continues.
